Accomplishments for 2006-2007

Attendance at monthly meetings increased from 5 to 18.

Mailing list increased from 8 to 35.

Representation on coalition from schools, hospitals, businesses, health agencies, and non profits.

Secured $200 incentive money from Action for Healthy Kids - Zone 7 to encourage attendance at coalition meetings.

Sponsored free CATCH: Coordinated Approach to Teaching Child Health Workshop at OU Eastern in partnership with American Cancer Society and Ohio Department of Health.
Teams from seven Belmont County Schools participated - 35 individuals - $500 curriculum free to each school. -
Secured and distributed $2000 in mini-grants to support youth planned and executed fitness activities associated with Healthy Ohioans Fitness Walk at six different sites in Belmont County.

Secured supplemental funding ($600) to help send two Belmont County School teams to 2007 School Health Conference.

Secured $900 in grant money from Action for Healthy Kids -Zone 7 to offer two Belmont County Tools for Schools Workshops.
Food Service Employees - August 21 - Union Local School - 42 Participants.
Physical Education Teachers - Oct 15 - Thoburn Church - 44 Participants. -
Facilitated five Belmont County school districts in acquiring $12,500 from Ohio Department of Education, Healthy US Challenge Grant.

Sponsored Fresh Start Smoking Cessation Train-the-Trainer in conjunction with American Cancer Society.
Thirteen individuals completed the training. -
Facilitated three Belmont County school districts in acquiring a total of $1100 in Ohio Action for Healthy Kids mini-grant funds.
Total of $20,800 in free curriculum and grants for 2007.
