  3. USDA Farm Service Agency offers Assistance During Severe Drought

    The Emergency Conservation Program (ECP), administered by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Farm Service Agency (FSA), provides emergency funding and technical assistance to farmers and ranchers to rehabilitate farmland and conservation structures damaged by natural disasters and implement emergency water conservation measures in periods of severe drought.   4. The 175th Anniversary of The Belmont County Fair September 2-8, 2024

    The Belmont County Fair will be celebrating 175 years on September 2 - 8, 2024. The OSU Extension Belmont County Office will be closed to the public the week of the fair. You will most likely find us on the fairgrounds. During fair week, feel free to call 740-695-1455 or email the office and we will get back with you when we can. 

  5. Belmont County Beef Quality Assurance

    Belmont County Beef Quality Assurance Re/Initial Certification will be held on Thursday October 10, 2024 from 6:00 - 7:30 PM at the Belmont County Extension Office. We are now located at the Belmont County Fairgrounds at 45422 Roscoe Rd. St Clairsville, OH 43950. 

    This training is for producers who have already received their BQA certification and are up for renewal in 2024 or wish to obtain their initial certification; either way you will receive a BQA certification from the Ohio Cattleman’s Association and OSU Extension.

  6. USDA Summer Food Service Program (SFSP)

    The USDA Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) was established to fill the gap when children lose access to meals when schools are closed. Most often this occurs during summer vacation. However, during school closures related to the pandemic, meals are also being made available. You have the opportunity to supplement the food you have at home with meals and snacks for your children from local schools and community organizations.
