It’s time for the 2018 Belmont County Junior Fair Market Steer Weigh-In, a requirement for exhibition at the 2018 Belmont County Fair.
The date for weigh-in is Saturday, November 18, 2017 from 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. at the Belmont County Fairgrounds.

The first Matter of Balance course recently concluded with all nine participants receiving certificates upon course completion. This class is designed to reduce the fear of falling and increase the activity levels of older adults who have the concern, sustained a fall in the past or have restricted their activities because of concerns about falling. A Matter of Balance is a structured group intervention that utilizes a variety of activities to address physical, social and cognitive factors affecting fear of falling and to teach fall prevention strategies. 4-H Camp Piedmont will be hosting a shooting sports camp June 10-12. Youth ages 9-13 will have the opportunity to experience a variety of shooting sport education in a camp setting. Participants will select from one of five disciplines – archery, advanced archery, rifle .22 rimfire, shotgun, or pistol.

Please make sure your members are looking over the forms to confirm that the pre-populated information is accurate. These forms need to be collected and returned to the Extension Office by the April 1st deadline, but we will take them earlier.
Please, note that the office will be closed Friday January 1st, 2016.

Saturday, June 13, 8-11 a.m. – Lamb and Goat Weigh-In at the Fairgrounds. All paperwork for those projects also due that day.
