Members only need to attend ONE session each year regardless of how many species they exhibit at fair. Members do NOT have to attend a specie specific session, but may attend any of the offered sessions. Each session will be geared toward the specie listed to provide more specific information. Sessions last about 2 hours, and there will be an online Fair Entry training as well as test-out options offered after each session.
All livestock project exhibitors (market, breeding, exhibition, fancy, etc.) MUST complete a Livestock Quality Assurance session or have successfully tested out for their age group to be eligible to exhibit at the 2025 Belmont County Junior Fair. The dates listed above are sessions provided by the OSU Extension Office. Other options to complete LQA include an online course, attending another County's Extension LQA, or completing through an approved instructor.
Test Out Options:
All members ages 12 and above are eligible to take the LQA test out after each session provided by the Belmont County Extension Office, or by scheduling with the Extension Office. If passed (70% or above), members 12-14 do not have to retest or complete LQA until they turn 15 in program age (age as of Jan. 1 of program year), and members 15-18 do not have to retest or attend LQA for the remainder of their eligible years.
