In Belmont County 4-H, there are 3 types of 4-H membership. Youth member, cloverbud, and group enrollment. Families who wish to join 4-H must enroll each year via the 4-H Online system. For more information, check out our page about enrollment.

 

Youth Members:

Youth members must be at least 8 years of age and in 3rd grade to enroll in the program year. Membership ends the year the member turns 19 years old. These members take projects within their club settings, adhere to county rules of participation, and have the opportunity to participate in many other events.

 

Cloverbud Members:

Cloverbud members must be at least 5 years of age and in Kindergarten to enroll in the program year. Cloverbuds "graduate" to a youth member the year they turn 9 and complete 2nd grade. These members participate in age appropriate activities with the help of cloverbud volunteers during club meetings, and have the opportunity to participate in some age-specific activities throughout the year.

 

Group Enrollments:

Group enrollments occur when the Belmont County 4-H staff holds programming for youth who are not formally enrolled in the program. This typically follows our in-school and after-school programs. These members are counted in the grand total of youth reached each year, but do not individually have access to all 4-H has to offer until they decide to join as a youth member or cloverbud member.

  • Neat and clean appearance
  • No midriffs showing
  • No cleavage showing
  • No undergarments visible
  • No spaghetti strap tank tops
  • No cut-off shirts (hem or sleeve)
  • No advertising of tobacco, marijuana, or alcohol products on clothing
  • No inappropriate language on clothing
