State Trips and Camps To apply for any of the following state trips and camps, please complete and return the Ohio 4-H Achievement Record to the Extension office by posted dates.


Citizenship Washington Focus Spend time in Washington, D.C. with 4-H’ers from other states taking part in seminars, workshops, and touring the historical sights of our nation’s capital.  


Ohio 4-H Shooting Education Camps for both Juniors (ages 9-12) and Seniors (ages 12-18)


4-H Leadership Camp - The camp program targets 4-H members with significant leadership potential or leadership experience within their home county’s 4-H program.


4-H Sea Camp - Sea Camp is held at Kelley’s Island on Lake Erie for members with a minimum age of 13.  The camp includes marine navigation, lure making, fishing techniques, a four day chartered fishing trip, swimming, scuba diving, sailing, canoeing, water skiing, fish cleaning, cooking, plus much more.


Ohio 4-H Teen Conference - Approximately 1,000 4-H teens from across the state will be participating in Ohio 4-H Teen Conference on at the Columbus Convention Center.  Interested applicants may apply for a scholarship to help with registration fees.


Ohio Forestry and Conservation Camp - Have you ever wondered what types of trees are in Ohio’s forests?  Or, what kind of relationships organisms have with the forest?  If so, Ohio Forestry Camp at FFA Camp Muskingum is the place for you this summer.  Any student who has completed the 8th grade and is at least 15 years of age is welcome to participate in camp.


OSU Extention Space Adventure Camp - Do you love science? Want to know more about outer space? Like to build things that can fly? Then this camp may be for you.


MXC - Making eXtreme Counselors Training - Older youth age 14 to 18 who plan to serve as camp counselors are invited to Making eXtreme Counselors (MXC)--an interactive and quick-paced training that offers innovative camp ideas to new and veteran camp counselors.
